Creating a Safezone
Creating a Safezone
Open the creator
Type the command (admins only):
/safezoneTo bind it to a key instead of (or as well as) the command, set an open key — it registers a keybind players can also rebind in the game's settings:
Config.Command = 'safezone'
Config.OpenKey = 'F7' -- empty = command onlyIf you are not an allowed admin, the creator refuses to open and you get a "not allowed" notification.
Draw the area in freecam
From the panel, start a new zone and choose Enter freecam · Draw. The UI hides and a free-flying camera takes over. A crosshair sits at screen centre; wherever it lands on the ground is where the next point drops.
Fly controls
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Move | W A S D |
| Up / down | Space / Ctrl |
| Speed boost | hold Shift |
| Look around | Mouse |
| Zone height | Mouse scroll wheel (2 m – 40 m) |
Drawing controls (these are the configurable Config.Keys)
| Action | Default | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Add point | Left Mouse Button | addPoint |
| Undo last point | Q | undo |
| Confirm zone | Enter | confirm |
| Cancel | Backspace | cancel |
As you place points the area renders live as a translucent blue volume — a filled floor, rising walls and bright edge lines — so you see the exact shape before committing. The scroll wheel raises or lowers the wall/volume height.
A zone needs at least 3 points. Pressing Enter with fewer than 3 down shows "Place at least 3 points first." and keeps you drawing. Backspace cancels the whole draw.
When you confirm, the polygon, its centre point and its vertical range (min/max Z, expanded by the height you set) are handed back to the panel and the UI reopens.
Name it, pick rules & jobs, save
Back in the panel you can:
- Name the zone (the label shown on the HUD, blip and Discord logs).
- Toggle Enabled on/off.
- Open Zone rules and tick the protections you want — see Zone Rules for every option. New zones start from
Config.DefaultRules. - Add jobs allowed (with an optional minimum grade). Leave empty for everyone. Requires the
Job whitelistrule to be on. - Configure the blip (map sprite and/or area circle, colour, pulse, show-when-nearby).
- Pick a colour used for the enter/exit screen flash.
Optional per-zone extras the panel also exposes (all validated server-side):
- Entry requirement — charge money and/or require an item to enter. The charge happens on the server, so it can't be faked.
- Blocked vehicle classes — kill the engine for chosen vehicle classes (military, planes, etc.).
- Schedule — make the zone active only on chosen days within a from→to time window (overnight-aware).
- Custom enter / exit messages.
Hit Save zone. The zone is validated on the server, stored, and synced to everyone immediately. No restart.
Editing and deleting
- Edit — pick a zone from the list, change anything (including redrawing the area via Freecam), and Save again. Saving over an existing zone id is logged as an edit.
- Delete — open the zone and choose Delete zone. It is removed from storage and unsynced from all players, and logged as a delete.
There is a short per-player save cooldown (Config.Limits.saveCooldown, default 1000 ms). Saving twice in quick succession silently drops the second save — wait a moment and try again.
